State Advocacy
Ohioans can play a powerful role in shaping policies that protect access to care by engaging with state legislators, sharing their stories, and supporting advocacy efforts that strengthen the bleeding disorders community. GOBDF works closely with the Ohio Bleeding Disorders Council (OBDC) to coordinate statewide advocacy efforts, ensuring that the needs and voices of individuals and families across Ohio are represented at the state level.
National Advocacy
GOBDF also partners with the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) to advocate at the federal level, ensuring that national policies, funding priorities, and access‑to‑care protections reflect the needs of individuals and families across Ohio. The NBDF advocacy team focuses on access to affordable, quality treatments and health care that meet the needs of the bleeding disorders community.
